IN THE CAPTIVE
Appealing thoughts
Of appalling sorts
Scratch my mood
To recount childhood.
An emotive trance
Chose every chance
Hunting hard-felt mirages
Leaving no other choice.
The days of hunger
The paths of stranger
Frustrated hope after hope
Crush all possible scopes.
The advent of teen-age
Dragged me on to a stage
Where fond days of relief
Stood relief, but for a brief.
An accursed fate
Cannot transform in haste
It possessed in store
Many a destined spell, to spare.
Eclipsed teenage into youth
The unusual recurring wraths
Fear-stuck and depressed
A refuge sought, frustrated.
But who can summon
An accursed youthful person
Held captive in between shores
Of sorrows and nightmares.

G U E S S
Clear ..
The sky is at present
Clouds ..
May approach any moment
Life ..
Likewise surprise with joys
Life ..
Likewise may rock with woes.
Any moment
The breeze may turn a storm
Any moment
Peace may break into violence
Either woes or delights
No approaching moment
Assures to fulfill own desires.
Victory or defeat
Joy or gloom
The present and the future
Like a routine day and night
Pursue each other
No doubt, in a routine.
Yes, if luck favors
We boast ..
Everything is ours
But, if doom stalks
Guess, who will stay with us.
--------------------------------
LET US PRAY ..
Droughts and the starvation deaths
Indeed are man made unusual disasters
Engrossed while securing self comforts
The seeds of rift are sown among faiths
Yet, let us pray for the best.
We explore ways in search of peace
But turn hostile when arises the need
Bridging the gaps of caste and creed
On par efforts be made to secure peace
Yes, let us pray for the best.
Social evils to be fought in unanimity
Illiteracy to be driven away without laxity
Both pave way for strength and unity
Conflicts can thus be driven out ultimately
Yes, let us pray for the best.
Eradication of poverty is another need
Dutiful, one should sympathize co-humans
Strengthen the spirits of the downtrodden
A right approach should never be marred
Yes, let us pray for the best.

NO WAY OUT
Neither a way out
Nor a way to stay on
The unceasing sufferings
Keep haunting all the time
Having tasted defeat
Wherever victory stood
I have accepted defeat
Whenever defeat stared
Fate is perhaps
A perpetual companion
Fortune is perhaps
The farthest dream
Squeezing life's essence
If childhood was disgusting
Squeezing youthful glitter
Was a suffocating phase
What if, yes ...
What if the trend subsists
Still there's no way out
Nor a way to stay on.
